Projects and goals

Phase I's goal is to raise $20,000. 

This will shore up the school's finances for the next two years. The current annual budget of New Hope is approximately $18,000 annually, consisting of $2,000 per teacher, per year, plus utilities and food (approximately $350 per month) for the students, plus supplies. Currently New Hope receives donations from numerous sources to pay all of its expenses.  

Phase II's goal is to foster engagement. 

We will encourage students and other volunteers to work with New Hope and other schools in Cambodia to mentor and support the students in Cambodia.  This may include a service trip to Cambodia during the summer.    

Phase III's goal is to raise $30,000. 

This will pay to add a 7th and 8th grade to the school for 2 years and reopen the computer lab. This may include an additional building as well as up to 3 additional teachers. 

Phase IV is to raise over $200,000. 

The goal is to create an endowment to ensure the long term success of the New Hope School and the Cambodian Education Project.
